Quest!

Last night Jared, Trevor, and I were invited to our lovely friends youth group, Quest, down in Daytona. We had a blast! When we first got there we were mingling among several *circles* catching up with everyone :) After a little "high a little low a little hey a little ho" we started the meeting off with some worship. (my favorite-est thing in the entire world : worship) Next we had a guest quest speaker drum roooooollllll : Barrett N.! He shared with us about a trying season in his life when he was struggling to find joy. Over a period of several months, God began revealing scripture to him, that he may have heard before, but hadn't been impacted by as greatly, until now. The main theme that God was showing Barrett, even though it can come off cliché, was that He loves you. And, not only does he love you, he rejoices in you and over you because of Christ washing us clean and covering us in the blood of the lamb, clothing us in white robes of righteousness. Next we broke off into small groups and dug a little deeper into the scripture shared. Our group ended with prayer requests then joined the whole group for MORE (:D ) worship! After that we headed out to Coldstone creamery and high-five frozen yogurt (trevor and I went there). 10 minutes into enjoying our desserts, several of the guys were standing outside our immediate group when a "rent-a-cop" drove up.(mind you, he was in a golf cart, ergo the rent-a-cop title) He accused the poor, harmless, christian (mostly homeschooling--what could they do?), boys (*cough* men?) of loitering! Owen, Barrett's brother, came over and told Barrett what was going on. Barrett proceeded to give the cop what-for, smack him in the face, and walk away.

Juuuuust kidding.

He just kindly talked to the rent-a-cop and our music festivities continued. After jamming out with the quest crew, my posse headed to the swagger wagon and waved good-bye to the Quest groupies and rolled away with rap blasting through the stereo system.
